Snorkeling at Caño Island

Explore Caño Island and it’s turquoise blue waters and colorful coral reefs! Cano Island is located near the Osa Peninsula and is one of the best snorkeling spots in Costa Rica.

The Caño Island Biological Reserve is one of the best places for snorkeling in the country and is approximately two hours by boat from Uvita Beach and about and about an hour by boat if leaving from Sierpe.  Once you arrive at the island you will do snorkeling in two different places, during which you can watch sharks, stingrays, turtles and many species of fish and corals on the reef below you.

During your tour, you can also enjoy lunch at the beach on Caño island, Violines Island, Drake Bay or in the boat and if you want you can walk the path that will lead to a lookout at the top of Caño island.   If you are lucky you can also see whales and dolphins jumping on the way back!
